Ongere is a Pan-Africanist perched at the intersection of arts, tech and advocacy to champion positive narratives by Africans about Africa. He is currently working with creatives across East Africa to produce counter-hegemonic content that challenges the shrinking civic space across Africa. His past experience is in advocacy at the regional, and international level across digital rights and civic space issues. Presently, he is conducting research on the use of digital technologies in creative production, and New Ways of Working in the Creative Sector.
